Made in Stockport

Made in Stockport is a community-driven creative hub designed to celebrate local identity, culture, and collaboration. The project reimagines underused spaces through participatory design, bringing together artists, studios, and residents to encourage interaction, dialogue, and belonging. Drawing inspiration from Liberty of London’s approach to cultural storytelling, the design integrates local motifs, heritage, and street art into flexible, multifunctional interiors, including a creative café, kids’ area, and a digital fabrication lab. By embedding creativity into everyday activities and connecting existing studios, Made in Stockport strengthens community engagement, amplifies local voices, and establishes a platform for cultural exchange and creative development.
